Well at least we produce a mix within the timeframe of 1 year, meaning we deliver the mix before the year is done.
Personally i love the slow part of the mix, like the flow, and general ambience of the mix. Ofcourse there are cut a few corners here and there, due to the fact we had limited time, and ALOT of tracks to mix together to get a good overview of 2009.
Im just thankfull for all the downloads, and listens this mix had already. Nice to see people enjoy our work, and well if that leaves one disgruntled former webmaster, well that is good enough for me.
The loooong intro adds ambiance and a good introduction to whats about to happen. Ive heard better intros myself, and yes well it could have been shorter. However the intro is just an intro, not the mix. Like a tideous radiohost builiding up excitement for the next track to be played.
Again thanks to all the people who are enjoying the work.. look out for more fullsize mixes this year from the cosmo & slimjay duo hahaha

Then why have a intro with lots of static on & Cosmo sounding like Eddie Skoller´s sidekick?
I agree about most intros seems ripped, and unpersonal. This one is personal, but its way too much & long. Why not have a short 20-30 sec briefing ? Or you can jump directly into the music wth the personal “2 0 0 9″ words & leadin bassine?

I understand your being funny. But remember not all people come from DK. But i dont feel “full” just by listening to yours.
Dance music have lots of breaks, and using those to melt / introduce more songs together can be done. And besides you will give the listener a fresh breath of air, before moving on.
I hear you on the 20-30 sec limit, but it is possible to mix pop music with better flow. Just listen to other people´s work. Specially from Holland & Germany. And im not talking about the Deep fakes !!!!

I’m not going to defend the way we mixed it, but when you do a yearmix with so many tracks, i gives you roughly 25 / 30 sec. pr.track. There is not much to work with except for start & stop transitions, you should know that
Besides that a yearmix consist of tracks played in 2009, mainly music people knows. The year 2009 had alot of remakes / remixes of old songs, some better than other, that just the way it is, nothing we can do about that, and remember music taste is a individual matter
I’m not sure i know what you mean with “lack of breaks” but breaks in my world of mixing is when you are stucked and you need to get on, then you cover the transitions with breaks … alot of the well known “Djs” do that, personally i dont like breaks that covers bad transitions, its simply not my style, if you need to get the energy going, dont break it up …
Intros is intros .. personally i hate intros .. But a great sounding intro, braging or not is better than a ripped movie intro or some dude trying to be funny
.. I know that we here in denmark have something called “jantelov” and the meaning of that word is “dont think you are better than others” .. Well, “jantelov” can kiss my hairy ass.
I’m not sure what you mean by “I didnt know Denmark was in a competition to make yearmixes?” the intros doesnt have any signs of Denmark is in competition with anyone ?
First of all i was interested in the mix. Because of the many many tracks. However im very disappointed in the slow pop part. The first mins seems to be one big mess of start / stop transitions. Fitting beats is kinda ok, but doesnt cover it up. It simply needs more attention. My favorite part is when we actually goes abit up in tempo, the mix seems to flow much better & the two djs starts to toy alittle, without destroying the music.
Around the harder dance part, i simply had enough of it. Mainly because the tracks changes so fast, lack of breaks there, and because the music is mostly remakes of older songs. And some of them are awful in my opinion. The synergy seems lost there, very much like in the first part of the mix.
One more thing:
Whats with the long talking intro?! I know its a good achivement to actually make such a mix, but why brag about it?
I didnt know Denmark was in a competition to make yearmixes?
On the plus side, i think the mastering is better then the earlier releases. There still are a couple of small bits where my subwoofers goes abit haywire because of the heavy beatmixing. But i dont mind that, only the couple living next door seems to be bothered.

I must compliment on this Yearmix 2009, why? Not just because of I am one of the members of MM.com, but just because of the fact, it is really nice production to listen to. Cosmo & Uncleslim has made a really good job. 5* from me, I know the mix is as good as the music is, but I like it. Thank you!
Second thing I want to point out:
I see MM.com still alive, or let’s say when it produces the mixes/megamixes, there is still big interest. I have now see the statistic for Soundcloud stream of this Yearmix ’09. The good is the interest 3days is this mix out, it has 535 streamed playes and 740 downloads, what it says? It says the world is too hectic and people are not willing to send even comments and support the artists. I wish that atleast every 50th click was presented with a short comment, it will be great! Anyway I still believe people do say a thanks in other forms of communication for these guys (IM, chat, e-mail).
Sorry for this retrospect, but i just wanna say what I think about the true facts.
Respect to DJ’s who made the mix, keep the music rollin, and please inform us what is going to be done in 2010 from MM.com.
