Such as spring is a symbol of awakening, our good old buddies from Megamixers.com have awaken and prepared for us the new music vibes (EDIT: author is speaking about the new mixes =] ), which are worth to listen to. Mixes, God knows how long they are (God: sadly, short one, short one =]), but in terms of efficiency and creativity, these works are exactly what you’re looking for.

2.) DJ CL – Chart 1

Do you remember the days, when the guy under the nickname ‘Ebzen‘ served us the reviews  about Deep Dance, Studio 33, Beat 66,….(ehm, a looong list….) of the newest mixes? I personally remember and you possibly should  too. If not, I need to say, that the old friend Ebzen changed his nickname into the new DJ nickname ‘DJ CL‘ (not now, some time ago =] ). So, this is definitely not his first mix, if you want to see his discography, please do it from that link. I’ve already had the chance to hear the new mix “Chart 1” and I need to say that he made it crazy & creative. (Haha, the chicken’s part is very crazy  at 03:52). I recommend to visit our forum to see the track list and listen to his mix right here .

Please remember that megamixers needs also your support, feedback. So, I am asking for a tiny amount of your free time, to write your comments back about the mixes. Thank you for that!

Ruhrpott Records has today put online the brand new Magic Mix Vol.19. The complete CD was divided into 3 mixing parts – Magic Dance, House Arrest and Downtownmix (each style represents the different music genre).

Cover has gained the mythology’s element, over and over the same graphics style that represents the Magic Mix’s brand.

My personal rating: The last part (the slowest one) sounds the best one. Why? Probably I am getting old and I listen more to relaxing melodic music, than just to the “tuc tuc tuc” beats. The second reason was a fact it was really smoothly mixed.

“Deep Dance, Deep Dance” … Oh dear, once again? I would like to know when it is going to end? Personally, I love the serie Deep Dance, but the quality, the quality…where is the mixing quality since 2007, hm?  The Studio 33 was ended some weeks ago, I am asking myself: “Why?” Maybe the mixfans were just tired by listening to the “quick-made” S33 (fake) mixes. IMHO the S33 mixes were a bit better, in comparison to the DD fake mixes. How was that possible? A better mixing team at “Studio 33″? Most probably…

MY CONCLUSION:

Intro: English, short (0:07) – PERFECT! (/me is not a fan of long german funny intros – sorry to say =] )
Mixing: Just take a glue and splice the tracks together (sometimes there are even the transitions, but in big minority).  The start was promising the moon, samples were nicely putted into the music, however  just  in the begining, a big loss.
Music: Up-to-date! Everything that is now possible to hear at the dancefloors is in the mix.
Structure: Deep 121.5 [38:45] , Deep Huschen [21:17], Deep Slow [18:48]
Covers: A monkey on the English flag, a bit strange, but OK.

Final evaluation: In comparison with the previous, it is a dignified follower. I would love to see more mixing creativity than just “splicing” of the tracks. 5/10 (Note: the music helps the final rating a lot)

“Another Magic Mix. nice sunny days!” A motto that probably says everything. Shall me explain it:
I have received in the package with the newest Magic Mix from Ruhrpott Records, Volume 18. I will not conceal my preference to this serie of the Magic Mixes. I like them however lot of people are now saying that it feels absence of new creative intentions. Yes, this is truthfully a real fault of this fancy mixing set, take in yours mind:  not one thing is perfect. Acquire this mix, it is worthy to listen! It is not the best from the whole mixing set but it has stored it’s own characteristic (3 sections – Magic Dance, House Arrest, Downtownmix). The complete composition offers a lot of fresh music that keeps the flow in the mix. That is what every lover of the mixes expects, like it has been inscribed “nice sunny days“, fantastic ride for the summer listening. This perform a nice requirement for our ears, well done DJ, you have done a great follower of your mixing set.

My personal though: I do not like the compressed sound of the mix, and “House Arrest” has a a little annoying  BG loop through the whole part. Eh, please for the next time try to fix this

Although, the sun is somewhat uncertain this summer, we still have the DJ’s who are mixing the finest summer mixes that can return us the absent sun. This Deep Summerparty 2009 is a nice piece of evidence that even the music mix can have the upbeat effects to our souls DJ Breakfreak32 has prepared a nice summer mix with lot of music, that goes up & up with the tempo through the whole mix. The begining is really slow, just check the tracklist of this party mix here. As you can see the music line-up of it is composed from well known hits. There are also a nicely fitted samples here and there ( you will hear also some fresh one).

Not to forget, as I usually do. I have my duty to introduce the guestmix by DJ Jack. Breakfreak’s mixing part is about 51 min and then DJ Jack’s part goes for 21 min and the content of his ” mixing show” is filled by the present hits/remixes. So you if you like the hot tracks, this is truly the part for you (of course this part is also “spiced up” with some samples).

All in all a nice successor of the previous Summerparty mix, well done Breakfreak32 and guest DJ Jack! I must admit that the energy putted into mixing is visible here, so I wish good luck with the next projects.

The deejay called Theo Kammann has prepared for us a new fancy mix, well done. It’s his 28th mix from the serie “Kammannmix“. This time the CD cover design was inspired by the actual Terminator Salvation. So let’s take a look a little bit closer on his perception to the “mixing judgement day“, shall we?

What we got here?

Firstly, lot of dance tracks that are actually topchart hits, like Cascada with “Evacuate the Dancefloor“, Paul van Dyk with “For an Angel 2009“, etc…
Secondly, you will listen to a few hot remixes like DJ Cargo with  “Ayla 2009“, Nightshifterz  “Touch Me 2009“or Lazy Monkeys “Colour the World” and I should continue. I recommend to check out the final line-up of this mix at our very own forum.

Lastly, if you have never heard about the “Kammannmix“, you should absolutely try it. Why? That’s simple, his mixes are improved by some extra samples / acapellas, so typical for the “megamixes“.

My personal summary:
I’ve enjoyed it – mainly the part with his DJ name sample in the new “Ayla 2009″ nicely fits there, followed by other well known samples in the mix. I am convinced that Theo is capable to create a better mixes but to recap it, this mix in some way complete his mixing norm, that’s actually fine – (P.S. we need more !)
